Young Musicians - from infants through grade schoolers, this program introduces the Conservatory’s youngest students to music in fun and exciting ways!
Piano - students age 7 and older may enroll in private piano lessons.
Strings -
students 5 and older are ready to begin Suzuki instruction on violin
or cello. Traditional instruction is available for double bass students.
Winds/Brass/Percussion - from flute to timpani, students usually begin instruction on these instruments around age 9.
Guitar - classical, acoustic guitar instruction is available for students age 4 and above.
Vocal Arts - vocal instruction is available for students age 9 and above.
Chamber Music - chamber ensembles are formed yearly for performers from experienced students to chamber music beginners.
Theory/History/Composition - this department offers group theory classes for students from 4th grade through adults, history classes for adult hobbyists, and private theory or composition instruction for all students.
Adult Learners - the Conservatory offers a number of programs in different departments for Adult Learners.
Outreach - the Outreach Department is the Conservatory's voice in the community, serving 4,000 students annually in the Pasadena Unified School District and other San Gabriel Valley school districts.
