Dear Friends of the Conservatory,

The Conservatory is a growing and successful music school thanks to the generosity of the community, PCM families and Board/Advisory Board members. This past year PCM provided lessons and classes for over 1,300 students and presented more than ninety concerts, recitals, and masterclasses. Outreach programs served nearly 4,000 additional students, including 700 students who received weekly music classes in Jefferson Elementary, our “adopted” school.

The year culminated with the Conservatory submitting a comprehensive self-study for review by the Accrediting Commission of Community and Precollegiate Arts Schools . Administrators from the music schools at Yale University and the University of Cincinnati conducted an intensive site visit this October to complete the accreditation review process; final word is expected in January.

Among the many commendations PCM received in the site visitors' follow-up report, and of particular note, was the observation of uniformly high quality instruction throughout the school – pre-school classes, outreach classes, private lessons, chamber groups, and music history classes for adults. The visitors also commended student performers, from beginners to virtuosic pre-college students. This affirms what we believe to be special about PCM – its commitment to high quality music programs that serve a broad spectrum of the community.

The Conservatory has a singular purpose – to provide excellent music instruction. The Annual Fund – the cornerstone of our fundraising – is significant in sustaining and advancing this work. Your gift helps to make this happen. We hope that you will give generously.
